Star-shaped fiber filter media holds great promise in filtration technology and water treatment. The high-efficiency water treatment system, which incorporates this filter media and related filtration technologies as its three core components, boasts internationally advanced capabilities. This innovative filter media combines the excellent dirt-trapping properties of fiber filter media with the effective backwashing performance of granular filter media. Its most notable features are its asymmetrical and fractal structures. The D-type filter and D-type filtration tank, developed using this material as its core, effectively address the challenges of achieving high-speed, high-precision filtration and large dirt-holding capacity simultaneously. This system offers broad applicability, variable speed operation, adaptive performance, and high efficiency. It achieves a filtration accuracy greater than 5 microns, with a recommended filtration rate of 17-23 meters per hour. The residual sludge rate is less than 1-2%, and the dirt-holding capacity of the filter bed reaches 15-35 kg/m3. Compared to traditional sand filters, it reduces the volume by 1/2 to 1/3 and decreases the backwashing water consumption by 2/3 to 1/2.
