Non-ionic polyacrylamide

Product Overview:

Non-ionic polyacrylamide: Structural formula: [-CH-CH2-CH-CH2]nCONH2. Polyacrylamide is a highly reactive polymer with a variety of valuable properties due to the active carboxylamino group on its side chains. Non-ionic PAM flocculants, lacking ionic functional groups, exhibit the following characteristics compared to anionic PAM flocculants: their flocculation performance is less affected by fluctuations in water pH and salinity; while their flocculation effect (settling rate) is inferior to anionic types under neutral or alkaline conditions, they outperform anionic types under acidic conditions, and the resulting floc strength is higher than that of anionic polymer flocculants.

Product Details

Non-ionic polyacrylamide: [-CH-CH2-CH-CH2]nCONH2. Polyacrylamide is a highly reactive polymer. The active carboxyl group on the side chains of the molecule gives the polymer many valuable properties. Compared to anionic polyacrylamide flocculants, non-ionic PAM flocculants, which do not contain ionic functional groups, have the following characteristics: their flocculation performance is less affected by fluctuations in water pH and salinity; under medium or alkaline conditions, their flocculation effect (settling rate) is not as good as that of anionic types, but under acidic conditions, they perform better, and the strength of the resulting flocs is higher than that of anionic polymer flocculants.

Product Applications:
1. Primarily used as a flocculant: Widely applied in the treatment of industrial wastewater and waste liquids, as well as municipal sewage treatment. This product is particularly suitable for use when wastewater is acidic. It can be used in conjunction with inorganic flocculants such as polyferric sulfate and polyaluminum chloride.
2. Widely used in the petroleum industry for oil extraction, drilling mud, waste mud treatment, preventing water channeling, reducing friction, improving oil recovery rates, and tertiary oil recovery.
3. Used as a textile sizing agent, it ensures stable sizing performance, minimal shedding, low fabric breakage rate, and a smooth fabric surface.
4. In the paper industry, it serves two main purposes: first, to improve the retention rate of fillers and pigments, thereby reducing the loss of raw materials and minimizing environmental pollution; second, to enhance the strength of paper, including both dry and wet strength.

5. Other industries: Food industry, used in the clarification of sugarcane and beet juice during sugar production, and in the phosphate flotation extraction of sugar syrup. Enzyme preparations are used in the fermentation and flocculation clarification of industrial processes. They are also used in the recovery of feed protein, offering stable quality and good performance. The recovered protein powder has no adverse effects on the survival rate, growth, or egg production of chickens. Other applications include synthetic resin coatings, soil and civil engineering grouting materials for waterproofing, construction materials, improving cement quality, construction adhesives, filling and repair agents, waterproofing agents, soil improvement, electroplating industry, printing and dyeing industry, and more.
