Ferrous sulfate, with the molecular formula FeSO4.47H2This product, produced by copolymerizing sulfuric acid with iron filings, appears as a pale green or light yellowish-green crystalline solid. When added in the recommended dosage, it can adjust the pH of alkaline water, organically bind with suspended solids in the water, and accelerate sedimentation. It is primarily used in water purification and industrial wastewater treatment and also possesses antibacterial properties.
