Key Features of Defoamers
Defoamers, also known as anti-foaming agents, are used to eliminate harmful foam generated during various industrial processes. They are widely applied in industries such as latex production, textile sizing, food fermentation, biopharmaceuticals, coatings, petrochemicals, papermaking, and industrial cleaning.

Performance and advantages of defoamers.
Defoamers, anti-foaming agents, and de-foaming agents are all collectively referred to as foam control agents.
Bubble bursting: As opposed to foam (foam aggregate), this refers to the process of breaking up a bubble by penetrating it from the air side.
Defoaming: Substances penetrate the foam from the liquid side, disrupting the foam structure and preventing its formation.
Debubbling: The process of causing air bubbles to merge and rise to the surface of a liquid by penetrating the interface between the bubbles and the surrounding liquid.

How defoamers work.

The localized reduction of surface tension on the foam causes it to collapse; defoamers disrupt the elasticity of the film, leading to bubble rupture; defoamers promote liquid drainage from the film, which can also cause bubble collapse; the addition of hydrophobic solid particles can induce bubble collapse; and solubilizers and foaming agents enhance surface activity.
Aphrodisiacs can cause bubbles to burst.
Electrolytes disrupt the surfactant’s electrical double layer, causing the bubbles to collapse.

Unique properties of matting agents.
Rapid defoaming and excellent foam suppression.
Does not affect the fundamental properties of the foaming system: good diffusivity, permeability, and chemical stability.
It is biologically inert, non-corrosive, non-toxic, has no adverse side effects, and is non-flammable and non-explosive, ensuring high safety.
